Cybill is a veteran indie producer with a track record of success in producing elevated genre films. Through her banner Anova Pictures, she produced global smash hit THE SILENCING, starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Annabelle Wallis and Hero Fiennes Tiffin directed by Robin Pront, a Global Top Ten Netflix film across 53 countries, opening #2 in the US. The film debuted digitally as the #1 rental, topping the domestic charts for months. Slated for a World Premiere at SXSW2020 Midnighters, the film was nominated for Best Picture at Sitges2020.

Anova recently produced THIS IS NOT A TEST, starring Olivia Holt directed by Adam Macdonald based on Courtney Summers’ YA book about five students who take shelter in their high school during a zombie outbreak. IFC released the film exclusively in 450 theaters early 2026.

Over the years, Anova’s produced female-led projects including sci-fi drama/thriller WARNING, starring Patrick Schwarzenegger, Alice Eve, Rupert Everett, and Thomas Jane which premiered at Sitges2021 in the Panorama Fantàstic section and was released by LionsGate. Cybill executive produced PAY THE GHOST starring Nicolas Cage and Sarah Wayne Callies by Academy Award-nominee Uli Edel with Voltage Pictures released by RLJ Entertainment, produced AFTER THE DARK starring James D’Arcy, Erin Moriarty and Freddie Stroma nominated for Best Picture at Sitges2013 released by Phase4 Films/E1 Studios, and executive produced OLD 37 starring horror vets Bill Mosely and Kane Hodder, premiered at HorrorHound 2015, both now streaming. As partner of her former production company An Olive Branch Productions, she produced CASINO JACK, THE PHILOSOPHERS, AND THE GIRL WHO INVENTED KISSING.

In New York, she raised capital to build proton radiotherapy cancer treatment facilities in the U.S., funding the nation’s first two private practice proton centers treating thousands of patients a year. Cybill started her career on Wall Street at investment bank CIBC World Markets’ technology, media and telecom group where she advised on equity, debt, private placements and M&A deals totaling over $1 billion.

As the Chairperson of Girls Quest Young Professionals Committee, Cybill raised funds, awareness, and provided mentorship, nurturing girls from low-income families in New York City, a non-profit focused on building teenage girls’ social competence and confidence. At the young age of 28, she was invited to sit on the Board of Directors of Girls Quest.

Cybill graduated with High Distinction in 2003 from the University of Toronto earning a BBA degree. She’s a member of the PGA (Producers Guild of America), DGC (Directors Guild of Canada), the CMPA (Canadian Media Producers Association) and is frequently a guest speaker at industry events.

Raised in Toronto and born in Hong Kong, Cybill danced ballet, played the piano, the flute, and starred in many local television commercials. Her parents owned a music company and her mother was a Cantonese opera singer, founding Starlight Cantonese Opera, a non-profit performing arts center in Toronto.
