Cybill Lui Eppich is a veteran indie producer with a track record of producing commercial, high-quality films. She produced global smash hit THE SILENCING, starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Annabelle Wallis and Hero Fiennes Tiffin directed by Robin Pront. Recently landing as the #3 movie on Netflix USA, it is a Top Ten Global hit across 53 countries. Originally released across all platforms in the summer of 2020, Indiewire called it a “breakout success” with Variety reporting the “hit” as the top grossing new film release with the highest per-screen average in the U.S opening on 79 screens. The Silencing was the #1 VOD rental for weeks, continuing to top the VOD charts for two months and was Universal Pictures’ top performing international VOD title. Slated for a World Premiere at SXSW2020 in the Midnighters program but cancelled due to COVID-19, the film was nominated for Best Picture in the Official Fantàstic Competition at the Sitges Film Festival 2020.

Through her banner Anova Pictures, she produced three films with female directors: sci-fi thriller WARNING, stars an ensemble cast with Alex Pettyfer, Alice Eve, Annabelle Wallis, Garance Marillier, Kylie Bunbury, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Rupert Everett, and Thomas Jane premiering at the Sitges Film Festival 2021 in the Panorama Fantàstic section, winning the Audience Award and Melies D’Argent Award at the Trieste Sci-fi Film Festival 2021, released by LionsGate in theaters, on demand and digital on October 2021; action/horror short KICKSTART MY HEART starring Emma Pasarow by Kelsey Bollig which won multiple awards during its long Oscar-qualifying festival run; romantic drama AKONI, about a Nigerian refugee escaping the clutches of Boko Haram only to find himself struggling to integrate into Australian society, which premiered Opening Night at CinefestOZ 2021 as an Official Selection and was released in Australian theaters. Upcoming announced projects for Cybill include The Mirage Man with Oscar-winner Steven Zaillian producing set up at 20th Century Studios.

Cybill executive produced PAY THE GHOST starring Nicolas Cage and Sarah Wayne Callies by Academy Award-nominee Uli Edel (The Baader Meinhof Complex) released by RLJ Entertainment, produced AFTER THE DARK (aka The Philosophers) starring James D’Arcy and an ensemble young cast nominated for Best Picture in the Official Fantàstic Competition at Sitges Film Festival 2013 released by Phase4 Films/E1 Studios, and executive produced OLD 37 starring horror vets Bill Mosely and Kane Hodder premiering at the 2015 HorrorHound Film Festival.

As the partner of her former production company An Olive Branch Productions, she produced CASINO JACK, THE PHILOSOPHERS, AND THE GIRL WHO INVENTED KISSING. Cybill has always supported emerging first-time female filmmakers by producing them into award-winning short films and showcasing their work at prestigious global film festivals. For years, Cybill worked with leading VFX company Mr. X on mid-budget studio genre projects.

In New York, she raised capital from European banks to build proton radiotherapy cancer treatment facilities in the U.S., funding the nation’s first two private practice proton centers treating thousands of patients a year. Cybill worked on Wall Street at investment bank CIBC World Markets’ technology, media and telecom group where she advised senior management on equity, debt, private placements and M&A deals totaling over $1 billion.

As the Chairperson of Girls Quest Young Professionals Committee, Cybill raised funds, awareness, and provided mentorship, nurturing girls from low-income families in New York City, a non-profit focused on building teenage girls’ social competence and confidence. At the young age of 28, she was invited to sit on the Board of Directors of Girls Quest.

Cybill graduated with High Distinction (Suma Cum Laude) in 2003 from the University of Toronto earning a BBA degree. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Women In Leadership Program at the UC Santa Barbara PaCE program. She’s a member of the PGA (Producers Guild of America) and is frequently a guest speaker and judge at industry events.

Born in Hong Kong, raised in Toronto, Cybill danced ballet, Chinese dance, played the piano, the flute, competed in cheerleading, and starred in many local television commercials. Her parents owned a music company and her mother was a Cantonese opera singer, founding Starlight Cantonese Opera.
